Auction Process – Buy

Bidding In Person for Live Onsite Auctions

1. Before the Auction Event

Visit our website to view the auction catalog as we build it. You can preview all equipment that will be sold at each auction, view pictures, and full descriptions.

2. Equipment Preview

If you can attend the auction in person, or simply wish to view the auction inventory in person our auction facility is open for equipment inspections the entire week prior to the auction for buyers to personally inspect and look at the equipment for the upcoming auction.

3. Inspect Equipment

The Equipment Preview week is the perfect time to come and inspect the equipment that interests you; however we know that you can’t always come yourself. Feel free to call our office with specific equipment inquiries and a Ritchason Auctioneers Team Member will personally look at the equipment and honestly answer your questions. We also welcome your mechanics and equipment specialists to come and preview the auction inventory for you.

4. Arrange Financing

If you plan to finance your equipment purchase it’s a good idea to prepare that prior to the auction date.  If you are in need of financing give our office a call and we can recommend several equipment finance companies we deal with on a regular basis.

5. Register

Auction Registration takes place the morning of the auction at the registration/check-out counter. Or pre-register in person at our auction facility/ or auction site the day prior to the auction date, or you may pre-register online.

*For first time buyers a deposit may be required

Upon registration you will receive full auction catalog with your bidder number attached. This is how the auctioneer will recognize you and award you the winning bid.

(Bring your ID and even a business card if available to make this as fast as possible)

6. BID

After registering join our professional auction team on the auction yard and be a part of the EXCITEMENT that we create here at Ritchason Auctioneers. Get in on the Bidding Auction, visit the onsite concessions, and buy the equipment you need to get the job done.

7. Checkout & Settle

After your bidding is complete stop by the check-out counter to be invoiced and pay for your purchase(s).

*Ritchason Auctioneers accepts payments by cash, check (accompanied by Bank Letter of Guarantee), cashier’s check, VISA, MC, Discover (3% Admin Fee), or wire transfer

(Payment for international buyers: wire transfer only.)

8. Pick up your Purchases

Once payment has cleared and your invoice has been marked, you can pick up your equipment.
